VINTAGE PORT HALF BOTTLE 37.5cl
Tasting note: Impenetrable black colour. A classic Fonseca nose dominated by an exuberant, hedonistic fruitiness, a powerful redolence of dark dense blackberry and blackcurrant which slowly releases a heady mix of spicy and herbal aromas, seductive notes of coffee and cocoa, hints of prune and wild scents of gumcistus. The thick velvety tannins give the wine a voluptuous density, integrating effortlessly with the sumptuous infusion of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and liquorice, which coats the palate. The tannins are also present on the finish which brims with blackberry and blackcurrant flavour.

Vin De Constance - Klein Constantia
Includes gift box as shown.
Since being introduced in 1986, Vin de Constance has consistently appeared in lists of the world’s top wines.
The wine is made by grapes grown on the foothills of the cool climate hills of Constantia. “The grapes are left to hang to dry on the vine and only the best bunches are selected and hand-picked,” reveals winemaker Matthew Day. “At the end of the growing season, the individual berries or raisins are hand picked to make the essence, the very heart of the Vin de Constance.”
In 2009, harvest began in late January and ended in late April, yielding 25 separate batches, each macerated and fermented differently.

Quinta Santa Luiz Vintage Port
Kopke Port is the oldest port house. Established in 1638 by Nicolau Kopke and his son Cristiano, who came to Portugal as representatives of the Hanseatic League, the House has been run through the generations by several representatives of the Kopke family, obtaining an excellent reputation for its wines.
Vintage or “bottle-aged” ports must receive approval of the Port Wine Institute to declare a vintage of recognized quality. Then, the entire vintage must be bottled between the second and third year. Since it improves in the bottle, it maintains its red color and red fruit flavors. It often takes 10 or more years to smooth the tannins and develop to its full potential, …

Late Bottled Vintage Port - Half Bottle
This is perhaps the most iconic of our Ports. Dirk Niepoort calls it the "younger brother" of the Vintage Port, once the origin of the grapes and vinification methods are identical. Both are made ??from a selection of full-bodied wines of high quality, produced in a single year. The time this wine spends in large wooden vats ageing (4 years) allows it to mature and settle down, being ready to drink young and right after bottling.
To fully enjoy the qualities it has to offer, we recommend decanting before serving.
Ideal with soft cheese, smooth blue cheese, dark chocolate desserts or a pepper steak.

An outstanding 2009 vintage Port Wine from Quinta do Vesuvio.
"As ever, Vesuvio is packed with its generous, opulent ripe fruit, showing richness, dense flavors, layers of jam and sweetness with a hint of caramel flavors. This is a Port for indulgence, ripe, rich and packed with flavor." - 93 / 100 Points, Wine Enthusiast.
Quinta do Vesúvio is situated far upriver in the Douro Superior, 120 kilometres from Portugal’s Atlantic coast and only 45 kilometres from the border with Spain. The Quinta’s special reputation for producing outstanding wines goes back into the nineteenth century, when the Viscount of Villa Maior wrote, “All this wine is made scrupulously and to perfection… this Quinta was made as if for princes…”.

Vintage Port SINGLE 75cl bottle
95 Points - Wine Journal
Reviews:Going back and forth, the Taylor's 2009 has a lighter nose than the 2007 with precise dark cherry, Seville orange, fresh fig and a hint of scorched soil. The palate is full-bodied packed with ripe black cherries, fresh fig and white pepper; very harmonious and focused although I feel that the 2007 has a little more depth and persistency. Very pretty and very pure, this Taylor's may well put on weight with a couple of years in bottle and merit a higher mark. Tasted May 2011.

A 2009 vintage Bordeaux wine from Chateau Cantenac Brown.
"The greatest Cantenac Brown I have ever tasted, this monumental effort possesses enormous concentration, with loads of black and blue fruits intermixed with damp earth and forest floor. I have never seen a Cantenac Brown so seamless, so powerful, yet at the same time, so elegant and densely complex. They have certainly done something here that has not been accomplished over the last three decades I have been tasting this estate’s wines. Opaque purple in color and full-bodied, this big-time sleeper of the vintage merits serious attention for the first time in my professional career.

Pauillac 1er Grand Cru Classe,
*** 99+ Points Robert Parker ***
The main reason the 2009 Lafite Rothschild did not receive a perfect score is because the wine has closed down slightly, but it is unquestionably another profound Lafite, their greatest wine since the amazing 2003. Among the most powerful Lafites ever made (it came in at 13.59% alcohol), the final blend was 82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. The selection was incredibly severe with only 45% of the crop being utilized. A tight, but potentially gorgeous nose of graphite, black currants, licorice and camphor is followed by a full-bodied wine revealing the classic elegance, purity and delineated style of Lafite.
