Gevrey Chambertin Aux Echezeaux 2009 Vieille Vigne Domaine Fourrier
91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Echezeaux opens with an exuberant bouquet of roses, berries and spices. It shows gorgeous depth and finesse in a weightless, elegant style. The round, textured finish is gorgeous. Aux Echezeaux is on the border with Morey. Anticipated maturity: 2017-2029. (AG) (5/2011)

(from .47 ha parcel planted in 1930) A very fresh, cool and bright nose speaks of red berry fruit, warm earth, underbrush and a hint of the sauvage that carries over to the supple but entirely serious medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent precision on the firm, focused and persistent finish.

Vin De Constance - Klein Constantia
Includes gift box as shown.
Since being introduced in 1986, Vin de Constance has consistently appeared in lists of the world’s top wines.
The wine is made by grapes grown on the foothills of the cool climate hills of Constantia. “The grapes are left to hang to dry on the vine and only the best bunches are selected and hand-picked,” reveals winemaker Matthew Day. “At the end of the growing season, the individual berries or raisins are hand picked to make the essence, the very heart of the Vin de Constance.”
In 2009, harvest began in late January and ended in late April, yielding 25 separate batches, each macerated and fermented differently.

An outstanding 2009 vintage Port Wine from Quinta do Vesuvio.
"As ever, Vesuvio is packed with its generous, opulent ripe fruit, showing richness, dense flavors, layers of jam and sweetness with a hint of caramel flavors. This is a Port for indulgence, ripe, rich and packed with flavor." - 93 / 100 Points, Wine Enthusiast.
Quinta do Vesúvio is situated far upriver in the Douro Superior, 120 kilometres from Portugal’s Atlantic coast and only 45 kilometres from the border with Spain. The Quinta’s special reputation for producing outstanding wines goes back into the nineteenth century, when the Viscount of Villa Maior wrote, “All this wine is made scrupulously and to perfection… this Quinta was made as if for princes…”.

Reviews:Going back and forth, the Taylor's 2009 has a lighter nose than the 2007 with precise dark cherry, Seville orange, fresh fig and a hint of scorched soil. The palate is full-bodied packed with ripe black cherries, fresh fig and white pepper; very harmonious and focused although I feel that the 2007 has a little more depth and persistency. Very pretty and very pure, this Taylor's may well put on weight with a couple of years in bottle and merit a higher mark. Tasted May 2011.

Vosne Romanee Les Chaumes 1er Cru 2009 Domaine Meo Camuzet.
Vosne Romanee Les Chaumes 1er Cru 2009 Domaine Meo Camuzet. Winemaker Notes
There is much finesse and elegance in this wine, very typical of the Vosne-Romanée appellation. Fullness and charm coexist here in a wine which is not as awe-inspiring as the superb 'crus', 'les Brûlées' and 'Cros Parantoux', but which is easy to drink and will quickly seduce you
Dark fruit flavors of black currant and blackberry grace this velvety red, whose dusty tannins and acidity keep it focused and lingering. Balanced in a large-scaled way, with a tight finish. Be patient.

Pauillac 1er Grand Cru Classe,
*** 99+ Points Robert Parker ***
The main reason the 2009 Lafite Rothschild did not receive a perfect score is because the wine has closed down slightly, but it is unquestionably another profound Lafite, their greatest wine since the amazing 2003. Among the most powerful Lafites ever made (it came in at 13.59% alcohol), the final blend was 82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot. The selection was incredibly severe with only 45% of the crop being utilized. A tight, but potentially gorgeous nose of graphite, black currants, licorice and camphor is followed by a full-bodied wine revealing the classic elegance, purity and delineated style of Lafite.

Pauillac 1er Grand Cru Classe
The wine has a very deep, almost black colour. The stylish and complex nose displays aromas of bilberry, blackcurrant and blonde tobacco that mingle with subtle cedarwood and spice notes. The same refinement and density are to be found on the palate with patrician, well-rounded tannins, revealing remarkable structure and balance right through to the long and opulent finish. A great success for a Mouton Rothschild that will undoubtedly get the utmost out of the exceptional qualities for which the 2009 vintage has already been hailed.
